Winner at the Centurion Art Association Annual Artist of the Year Award 2026 in the category of Mixed Media.

Part of a series on reflections — both the contemplative kind and the literal kind. Made in fragments over several weeks during a difficult period, each layer shaped by mood, gold leaf glimpsed beneath washes of lamp black oil paint and linseed oil. A meditation on happiness found rather than given, rendered in a medium that quite literally reflects light back.
