It is endlessly entertaining and amusing whenever we hear the familiar tune from the Red Ice Cream Truck driving up and down the streets in our neighbourhood over weekends. Time is of the essence and we jump into action to get some money and get out there as a soft serve ice cream beckons. We wait excitedly on the curb as the Red Ice Cream Truck makes a slow and methodical turn and putters slowly down our street towards us. We cannot resist the temptation to order a twirled double flavoured soft serve ice cream with a generous squirt of red syrup over the divine creaminess. After one lick I am rewarded with a feeling of pure bliss - lekker!
