Last Bits of Golden Light

Last Bits of Golden Light captures the quiet, fleeting beauty of an African landscape at the end of day. The warm golden light of sunset touches the dry grasses and distant trees, while the violet clouds and soft reflections in the water create a sense of calm and contemplation.

The winding stream leads the eye into the landscape, inviting the viewer to pause and experience that brief moment when daylight is almost gone, but its warmth still lingers. Through warm ochres, oranges and earthy browns contrasted with cool violets and mauves, I wanted to express both the richness of the landscape and the peaceful melancholy of a day coming to an end.

For me, the painting is about light, silence and the fleeting nature of a beautiful moment.
