Afrikaners is Plesierig!

If there is one thing that our nation can do well it is to have fun! 

What better place to experience this than at a music festival 

held at one of our iconic heritage sites. Enjoying local music, 

people and good food.

I painted my first layer in monochrome using white, 

ultramarine blue and raw umber. Once the paint was dry, I glazed 

the building with a rich brown. I applied more definition 

and colour to the girl, enjoying the moment amongst the crowd, 

drawing attention to her as the focal point of this painting.
