I am so privileged and grateful for the opportunity to share my art with you!
I was born in Zimbabwe (in 1954) but grew up in the RSA. From a young age I enjoyed making drawings but never considered art as a career. Instead, I followed a career in building and facility management but eventually found it unfulfilling and decided to practice art full time in 2010.
With no formal art education, I gained knowledge and experience of painting from art courses, workshops, books, videos and making lots of “mistakes”.
I love to paint representational landscapes in oils in an impressionistic manner. Most of the work is done in my studio but I also enjoy working ‘plein air” (in the open air, outside).
The beauty of nature is what inspires me to paint.
I currently work from my home studio in Centurion.
