I worked in the horticulture and landscape business for 30 years. I always knew I wanted to become an artist and when I retired, I started painting by myself. I am mostly a self-taught artist.
Art to me is a means of expressing my vision and to bring to life the broad spectrum of vivid pictures, moments and ideas on canvas.
My subject matter is mostly nature, whether it is a traditional landscape or a bird or flower painting. I use oil and acrylic on canvas as well as graphite, pencil, ink and pen to capture movement and life.
I do not limit myself to one medium, style or concept.
Each piece I create is simultaneously an extension from my past, where I’ve come from and what I’ve learned, as well as a preview of the future, where I am going.
No matter how many paintings I have completed, every painting is still an experiment to me. I don’t want to know how my paintings will end. I want the surprise of finding the end, sometimes quite by accident.
My personal goal is to continue to learn, create and refine my work. In the end, I hope to be regarded as one of truly best; someone who put themselves, their experience, their pride and their heart into each piece.
I participated in various group exhibitions and sold paintings to customers all over the world.
My artwork found homes in America, Seden, Germany, Switzerland, Finland and Italy and locally.

I saw your painting, “Waterlelies” in a gallery in Centurion. Most stunning painting I have ever seen. I then saw another one of your paintings hanging in a woman’s personal studio. Brought me to tears. I’d love to have Waterlelies.
